Stuart Simonsen from Billings, Montana Thinks Sports are Vital
Growing up Stuart Simonsen was always a fairly active person. He loved to spend entire days outside playing sports with his friends. They played touch football, soccer, and baseball whenever they could. Sometimes they would bike around their neighborhoods until the sun went down. Essentially, Stuart Simonsen grew up loving sports. Even though he is now an investment manager he still maintains his love of sports.
He also learned how important sports are for your health. People who are active every day gain a variety of benefits. They have less aches and pains than people who sit around all day. Sports and being active alleviates lower back pain, something a lot of Americans suffer from. People who play sports are generally happier than those who don't. They sleep better and have more energy throughout the day.
Stuart Simonsen loves to learn about the benefits of sports, it only helps to convince him of their importance for people of all ages. Playing sports has even been shown to make peoples' brains work faster and more efficiently. There really is no excuse for people not to play sports!
Stuart Simonsen believes that everyone should have access to as many sports as possible. That's why he donates to the Rocky Mountain College sports program. A small school can have trouble funding their sports programs and Stuart Simonsen wants to help the talented students of that school to have access to sports. The more institutions that support sports in the community, the more people will be around sports. If they are around sport more, people will start to play themselves.
His new business, Montana Cycling and Ski is heavily involved in sports in the community. They sponsor and support a variety of sports associations and teams in the area. Stuart Simonsen is happy that he can be a part of such a lively community that enjoys sports and he hopes he can get everyone in Billings involved in sports in one way or another.
